The Angel, standing on Heaven, turns the skies at the will of God about the Earth, the City of God. At the ascendancy is Mars (warfare), followed by the Sun (kingship), Venus (love), Mercury (knowledge), the Moon (lunacy), Saturn (labour), and Jupiter (wisdom). A planet’s characteristic was believed to be imposed at birth depending on its location.
